Kewl, sounds great, nice to see someone else from Dayton Ohio on the board!! Anyways, how is the zip up design on the Zena? Is it pretty sturdy ? Do you think it keeps the BCD as secure on you as a waist belt? And as far as the customized fit with the interchangeable parts, do you think this is necessary or is there plenty of adjustement right off the shelf? And lastly did you buy yours at Scuba Toys? I do not think we have a local dealer for Zeagle in the Dayton area.
Thanks
David

Hi there... nice to meet you. Ok.. honesty here.. Ummm no we don't have a Zeagle dealer close. I didn't get it from ScubaToys, but should have. We did go to the closest dealer, but they were NOT helpful!!! If you have any questions or problems with ordering different sizes just talk with Larry here on the board and he will set you up!

Your wife is certainly welcome to try mine if she would like.. you are close enough to get together.. I think the sizing option is great.. .one of the reasons I went with it. I have a large back piece, medium front panel and an XS shoulder piece. But there is also enough adjustment that if I should (sigh....) lose weight, it will still fit for a long time. I think it feels very sturdy. The zipper is great!!! I will NEVER EVER go back to a dumb waist belt (that of couse wasn't actually anywhere near my waist!) I adjust it to fit the way I like, which I'm sure is not for everyone. (Realize this is a busty chick who has spent months out of each of the last 13 years wearing an Elizabethan steel boned corset!) :11: so I like things snug and holding everything in place! :eyebrow: But now with my Zena I am comfortable just hanging in the water or doing cartwheels and things I could NEVER do without feeling like my BC was slipping all over!

So... feel free to PM.... would be nice to meet another female local diver!! :)

I am AmyJ's husband, and all I can say is: if your buddy is happy, then you are happy. Getting a BC that fits RIGHT is essential, and Zeagle is definately the way to go. I have put the Zena together with about as many combinations as there are available, and with three different components each coming in at least three or more sizes, one way or another, it should not just fit, but fit WELL. Scott Zeagle was extremely helpful getting us hooked up. I cannot say enough good things about the products Zeagle has to offer, but to go along with a great product, they have excellent customer relations. Scott is not only helpful, but eager to listen to what diver have to say not only about Zeagle products, but also to idea and concerns that may help them to make their products even better for us divers. I have yet to find another equipment manufacturer who is more accessible to their customers.

My wife dives a Zena and loves it. I also have to admit, I'm a little jealous of how easily she gets in and out of it w/ that single zipper.

My wife recently purchased a Zeagle Zena also. I asked her what she liked most about her BCD and she reponded, 'it feels good to my feminine body'. :>

My wife and I were recently in Mexico. She dove her Zena for the first time. It was a pleasure for me to watch her. I could easily tell how much better it fit her, and how much more comfortable she was in the water. She could focus more on enjoying being down than fussing with an ill-fitting bc. Actually on one day I dove without her (due to circumstances) and to avoid having to pay to rent a bc, I used hers, and it worked just fine for me too, though my hips didn't fill out the very bottom of it as well. But I dove very comfortably in it. The zipper is a nice feature.
