You can add a 35lb parapack single bag bladder (Part#7030, MSRP $270) or a 35lb 1000d nylon single bag bladder (Part#7030HD, MSRP $300) to a Tech BC with no problem.

Calm down, Krak, you are gonna blow a gasket...;)

Zeagle B/Cs, expecially the TECH model, are very versatile and will adapt to any wing by any manufacturer. The fabric portion of the body of the B/C will last practically forever. The wings can be interchanged at your will. You can put whatever size wing onto it that you want, from 20 lbs to 100 lbs.

The Zeagle designs match up with them best, but you are not limited to them.

And finally, befor eI commit (seeing as $200 plus a bladder brings the price to $500) Would I be better off getting a brand new ranger or Brigade instead? what can go wrong with a BC and what is involved in servicing one?

Z..

Not a whole lot that can go wrong with them.
Unless you accidentally bush up against a very sharp object with a great deal of force, the wing is almost indestructible.

The major points of concern on any B/C, B/P-wing set up is the inflator mechanism and the pull dumps.

Zeagle uses stainless steel d-rings so you'll never have to worry about them getting broken. The harness is super tough.

Buy Zeagle, relax and enjoy your dives!!!!

Safe dives . . .
. . . safer ascents!!!

Excellent :) the Bc itself is quite new, he has only done a few dives (less than five from memory - giving up due to health issues) the inflator wont be an issue as I plan on getting an octo plus or similar. And I'd guess that after only 5 dives, the dumps should still be in good order...

I would suggest purchasing the crotch straps that attach.
Many people over inflate the bladder at the surface giving it a tendency to want to rise up behind the diver. This physical tendency has given rise to the urban myth that back inflation B/C's plant the diver face down at the surface.
You don't want to be a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. You need only enough inflation at the surface to keep the head out of the water.

With 65lb of lift, I can see that this would be very easy to do...

thanks for the tip :)

Well, I went for it, and I actually got it for $230. Can't lose! I figure if I don't like it I can sell it for that much. On the other hand, buying this and getting a 35lb bladder makes it about the same price as a brand new one. Will let you all know how it goes - now I just need to get myself some regs..

thanks for the help everyone :)

Hi Scott
We are putting alot of the 34lb All elastic bladders on Techs and Rangers when the customer is after a smaller wing, find these ideal for single tank and also very light for travel.

Zeeman, if you would like the cost of the wings in Australian dollars give me a call.

Cheers
Chris
