I have narrowed my BC choices down to the Stiletto and the Balance both seem to get good reviews. I am going to be traveling mainly to the Carribean/Mexico/Central America to do my diving so I want something that easy to travel with. Any input would be appreciated. I am also curious about which company provides the better warranty and customer service.

Thanks,

Either BC will probably suit your needs just fine. If you have any specific questions, just let me know!

Good luck with your choice!!

I went through the same delimma a few weeks ago. I looked at Zeagles and SeaQuest. In the end I made the following conclusions:

Zeagle:
- Modular design so the fit can be customized
- Able to change bladders as needs require
- Made in the US
- Fit and finish is higher quality
- Integrated weight system are better design IMHO
- Scott is here to help answer questions. He really takes a very personal approach to customer service.

I ultimately went with the Brigade since I liked the way the Ranger harness fit. Although the Stiletto is a great BC as well.

For customer support there is none better than Zeagle. They make a great product, stand behind it and as you can see from the post above the company is more than willing to talk with their customers. I have owned a Ranger and currently dive a Scout. I have been very happy with both BCs. I originally bought the Scout as a travel BC and found it worked so well for the type of diving I do that I stopped using the Ranger. The Ranger is still diving with a buddy of mine. I also have Zeagle regs.

Both are good bc's, but Zeagle is in a class of its own when it comes to service. Good luck making your final decision.

Mike,
I came to the same conclusions as you but wanted to see if other people felt the same way. I decided on the Stilleto b/c it would be easier to travel with but should try on the Brigade since I have heard so many great things.

Herman,
That is what I was looking for in terms of support. I do not know how Seaquest\Aqualung is in regards to their support.

Thanks,

It seems like everyone is in favor of the stilleto. I'm sure it's a great BC, however I recently dove (dived) with a Balance in Cozumel and absolutely loved it both in the Water and on the boat. Great support and very comfortable. Good luck, it's one of those decisions where you can't go wrong.

I did a side by side comparison between a full Ranger and Stiletto at an LDS. I could not see that big of a difference on packing size. I do like the more rugged and flexible design of the Ranger harness and that was what sold me on the Brigade. The Ranger is great if you need 44# of lift.

Both the Zeagle and Seaquest are very functional. In the end its all about the service. Not that you'll need a lot but when you do.....
