Buy more than you need. I never thought I'd buy a set of doubles and wow, wouldn't you know I'm looking for some. So to that end I'm glad I bought a Ranger LTD.

Personally, I don't like Octo-Z's/Air2's/etc (which has more to do with poor setup on the diver's part than any real flaw with those products). Do an OOA drill with someone that has one and you'll see why. Most diver's that have them fail to realize that your alternate hose is longer than your primary for a reason. As you (probably?) know, with an Octo-Z/Air2 you donate your primary to the OOA diver and use the "alternate" for yourself. So if you do get one make sure to opt for a longer primary hose so you won't have an OOA diver literally on your back if you ever have to share air.

You may also want to talk to some diver's that have them as I've always wondered how easy is it to dump air if you were to ever have to tow an OOA diver. Do you have to take the reg out of your mouth? If not, do you find that it traps gas? Granted, most BC's have an alternate shoulder dump - but...

Just something to think about.

I have a Stiletto, I enjoyed diving with it. It is for sale if you are interested (also an Atomic SS1 octo/inflator see classifieds section). Is about 2 years old and has about 100 freshwater and maybe 50 salt water dives on it. Excellent cond. PM me.

Other than that, an excellent BC travels and trims out well. Not too much dangly or worthless gimicks on it. Good stuff.

My wife has a Lazer which is the stilletto for women.
It is ok. I would advice to:
- check the size very carefully if you order online, as it seems zeagle is a little on the small side
- the main pb of both the Lazer and stiletto is they don't have an Additional right hand pull dump valve/OPV. I think this is a very good feature.
=> get either the LTD version or the Brigade from Scubatoys (which is to my point of view 'ZE' best online scubastore. The others are ok, but the service, advice and pricing from Jim and Larry are really top of the line). Besides, they are the only one proposing the Brigade anyway.
