Im thinking about up grading my regulator and I was wondering if the ZX DS-IV is better then the Envoy Deluxe? Is the ZX DS-IV a newer model? TIA

Thanks Scott! So is it worth it to up grade or should I just stick w/ the Deluxe

ScottZeagle:
If you are diving water under 40 degrees F, you should look at the sealed units.

That's good to know. I have been hearing people say that have seen regulators freeze at 59 degrees. I know I wont be diving in 40 degree water, but 59 is a possibility.

I use ZX DS-IV, and I have been very happy. I have been in water temperatures down to 32 with out a free flow. If you want to upgrade you won't be disappointed.

Scott and I are Florida Boys and don't dive real cold water... but 50 degrees is the temperature limit recommendation, due to the cooling effect of expanding gas.

This comes straight off our website. http://www.zeagle.com/index.php?submenu=Regulators&src=gendocs&link=EnvironmentalSealing

The Envoy deluxe is an awesome regulator for Floridians! The second stage also does not have a heat transmitter making it a little lighter weight.

Good to see you aboard Capt. Gene! (Fill out your profile so people know where you are and can contact you.)

michindi,

Capt Gene is a kidder, and a good Zeagle dealer/instructor in Zephyrhills, just NE of you. Aquatic Adventures http://home1.gte.net/diver97/ 800-741-6476
