Hi ppl, i already have a bp/w but just purchased a zeagle ranger cos i really like it. Any idea how to fully utilise it or recommendations to modify it or something? What type of diving is more suited with it? I hope to do slight tech diving in the future.

Somebody's going to say it so... "why use a ranger for tech when you have a bp/w?" The bp/w is designed precisely for it...

Aloha, Tim

P.S. I do shallow warm water dives in my bp/wing, I have friends who do deep cold penetration dives in theirs - so I guess the bp/wing works for everything in between . . . I don't know what the ranger would do that the bp/wing is "not" suited for...

If I am thinking right you can take the bladder off and put it on a BP. Don't know if the switch is only to a Zeagle BP. You can also dive the Ranger with doubles. I have seen posts that say it isn't as good as a BP with doubles but it works.

Agree with Tim. Stick to the BP/W for tec. I have a ranger that I dove for 6 years. It worked well with rec diving as I moved to tec I went with BP/W. Never went back. Liked the BP/W so much that I changed my single setup to a BP/W along with my doubles setup.
