It sure does... :06:

I can only think of two reasons:

1. They have been bitten by the BP/W bug (or been beaten into submission), or

2. These are about the only BC that has resale value.

I'm sure there are no other possible explanations.

Ah, just thought of one more - they are all heading to Scuba Toys to buy the Brigade!! ;)

:D

Seems like a lot of people dumping their Rangers for some reason...hmmmm....
Anytime a large group of people own something good there's bound to be some turnover. Could that be the reason...hmmmm...

Plus the first two ads are for people who are selling their other BC since getting a Ranger. One is from someone who bought the wrong size and wants to trade but only for another Zeagle. And if you preview the ads, two or three more are from people whose family/job pressures require them to give up diving - gasp!!

We don't want Frenchy diving with a Zeagle though, it will look bad on Zeagle when he shows up as the posterboy for the Ocean Anti-Cruelty Society.

What Scott said....

Walter, I understand you don't like the Ranger BC. I have seen the same post from you numerous times. However, their are MANY people who have no problem with the BC, have used the BC exclusively for many years, and recommend the BC to people they teach, dive with, or just meet in a dive shop.

I once owned a car (a Saturn) that I hated. It had numerous breakdowns, was poorly put together (in my opinion) and I would NEVER buy one again. That being said, I don't hang around "car forums" and say negative things about Saturns everytime someone mentions them - I'm sure that there are many people who LOVE Saturns, so great for them!!!

If I may ask, what BC do you use, Walter, and why??

Thanks in advance.

So here's my reason for letting go of my Ranger. It is a great rig, well built and extremely rugged. It fits very snugly and I had no buoyancy issues -- very comfortable in the water.

However, for my types of dives, it was too much BC. I either dive fresh water and wear no weights or warm tropical waters with 4-8 pounds. I don't need the integrated weight pockets nor the extra pockets nor the large wing that the Ranger has.

It is a great set-up. And for someone that is looking for an integrated weight BC, then I highly recommend the Ranger. It's just not optimal for my warm water diving ways.

yeah ok so i torture animals and i spearfish and when go fishing I cut the gils of the tuna let them bleed on the deck of the boat and stripp down to my speedoes and role around in the blood. Is that close to what you wanted to hear?

Scott, you're likely to see the same information posted by me most everytime someone asks for opinions on the Ranger. I use a Scubapro Classic Sport because it is streamlined, and doesn't trap air.

A dear friend of mine asked for assistance in weighting. She was using a Ranger. I had no experience with Rangers, but had heard good things about them. I got her properly weighted with no air in her BC. She inflated her BC to rest on the surface while I geared up. Once we were together, she dumped air and couldn't sink. I examined her BC and discovered the damned thing wouldn't dump all the air because of its design. I had to squeeze the top of the bladder to get the air out. She was then able to descend. After that, I loaned her a Classic Sport until she sold the Ranger and bought a BC that worked.

Ok,

Whatever works for you. It's not my place to apply my ocean conservationist values to your diving experiences. I personally make it a point not to touch anything living in the ocean figuring that it will still be around that way for others to enjoy the same way I do. Although I do love a good lobster now and then...

We were just having fun at your expense since you left yourself open to it by posting that picture. I apologize if I've upset you in any way.

Getting back to your question, do seriously consider a Zeagle BC. I consider it one of the better BC's I've ever owned. It's easy to get in and out of, the weight integration makes trimming your weight simple and it will fold down small enough to go into a Cobra pack along with your regulator which will meet airline overhead bin standards.
Get the lumbar pad too.

Oh, that wasnt directed to you, it is directed towards oh whats his name, the guy with a lot of Hs in his name that is some hawaiian word. If it makes any difference I am environmentally aware, I put that picture up there because i like the controversy, next week ill have a new one which youll really like!

Back to the question, I have heard from the other guys that they have had experinced weight problems, have you?
