My Zeable Ranger integrated second stage/inflator free flows slightly. I have had it replaced and still it does it. I have to mess with the connection and purge button to get it to stop. Any suggestions or words of wisdom? It's a pain.

Been there done that. I brought in the regulator and had it checked out. It checked out fine so I was given a new BD air inflator. Then it still periodically happened. I bought a new regulator--a new Aqua Lung Legend. It still does it. So....is this a Zeagle problem?

It probably just needs to be de-tuned a little. If you want to send it to me, I will be glad to have it done for you here.

There are a couple of different ways you can set up and alternate air source. You can make it breathe really well (and risk a small free flow) or you can increase the cracking effort which makes it much less likely to free flow but makes it breathe harder.

Personally, I have mine set up to breathe harder, as I know it will still deliver the air should I need it, it just won't breathe as sweetly as my Flathead LT.

If you want to take it to your local shop, and they don't know how to de-tune it a little, they can certainly call Zeagle and Jim Fox will assist them!!

Sorry for your troubles!!

Scott

ScottZeagle: Thank you very much for the info! I'll have it looked at again at the shop. If I don't make any headway there I may take you up on your offer and send it to you.

ScottZeagle: One last thing....I would be remiss if I didn't let the ScubaBoard world know that I love my Ranger and I'd get another one in a second and/or recommend one to a friend. Thanks for the personal response. It says a lot about Zeagle the corporate citizen!

It's known to practically everyone here on ScubaBoard that Zeagle is an old Indian word for "Outstanding Customer Service", but I feel it bears repeating here! :D Kudos to Scott, Jim and the entire gang for their ongoing passion to keep their customers in the water with great gear!

I am on an IDC class here at Slates Atlantis Dive Center in the Keys, where 3/4 of the staff and candidates are diving Zeagle BCs and/or regs! That just speaks VOLUMES. Yesterday, EVERYONE shared a story about how amazing their customer service is.

Dude, I saw the Zeagle Express for the first time in the pool! WOW!!! All of us were impressed with that BC. It made the Stiletto I was wearing look "old school". :D I would imagine that there will be a %100 percent of us wearing Zeagle in the not too distant future.
