Good one Wayward. Scott, I am waiting on my Zeagle for what seems like forever but should have it within the week. I'm curious. I dive drysuit in the winter and require quite a bit of weight. Could I add just a SS backplate to the existing Ranger as it is?

The BCs were not made to hold a BP, so my official answer would be "probably not".

That being said, divers are a resourceful bunch, and I have seen it done...

Is that about as clear as mud???

:)

Yeah, It'a about as clear as the visibility up here right now. If it was not made to take a backplate then why do they put backplate grommets on them?

LOL that was funny!Thats why I kep comming back here I always get some great laughs when I need them!!:)

A lot of people do it here, instead of using the little mounting plates, you bolt the doubles through the grommet holes to a BP. The end results is : you -> BP -> Ranger -> doubles
