Hi everyone,

In the process of switching to doubles and just started the TDI tech path.

So Im currently putting together the needed gear. I own a zeagle f8 which I like, so wondering if it would be a good idea to just double it or buy something else.

Seems like no one is diving this setup in twinset and Im wondering why.

Thanks!

it’s a matter of comfort (hose routing) and preference
If you like them and have a good track record with getting them serviced, I don’t see why not (without knowing the reg)

Edit to add: just a very quick look at them, they seem that they’ll do the job more than fine (and very similar to the Tek3 set from Apeks)

Maybe they’re not famous as there’s a “pipeline” of marketing things for “tech”

They are great regulators, but the first stage doesn't have a rotating turret. If this doesn't bother you, then no issues. I personally prefer rotating turrets for doubles or SM.

The regulator is great/awesom in itself.

There are other regulators, such as Deep 6 or Hog, which are cheaper and have much nicer hose routing for a set of doubles. I had set of F6s at one time and replaced them with Hogs for that reason.
