He's talking HALCYON. There are other brands and I said he should shop some more if he wants to go the PB and wing route.
I also said I ware one when I cave dive or did you miss that point too. Just like differant BCd there are differant style PB/Wing set up.
There are ABS, ALuminum and SS. He may not know this. the type of diving should determine what he wants and not just because PB/WING divers think it's better. I know people that won't touch a PB/Wing set up no matter what you tell them.
The more info you have the better decision you can make.
Wasted enough time on this.

Halcyon != DIR

There are lots of DIR divers who don't dive a Halcyon wing, and there are lots of non-DIR divers who dive Halcyon wings.

The option was bp/wing vs not a bp/wing. What difference does it make if it's Halcyon or not? If you're DIR, you're not predisposed to recommend Halcyon over Oxycheq or something else.

Ben,

I have a Halcyon Eclipse and love it. I live in Chicago, but have a vacation home in St. Joe. So you're welcome to try it sometime if you want to go diving. I just switched over to BP/Wing set and its the best decision I've made with my diving gear. Talk to you soon.

Hey "DanielReyer"

Thanks for the invite to try your wing out! That is kind of you and I appreciate it. But it might behove you to take a look at when this thread was started. I have owned a Eclipse setup for almost two years now. I love it too! It is wonderful for ALMOST everyone to use for most all diving! I would not suggest it for the 1 time a year tropical diver who is used to jacket style bc; and not for anyone who cannot lift the system over their head and slide it on with all the goodies attached on a dive boat such as the "dir 2" video suggests! HA HA!! I would love to see some of the 100 pound women I dive with do that on a slippery dive boat, talk about ridiculous...
