Almost every time I wear my Brigade, it chafes my neck something awful. It fits my perfectly, so I don't thing it's a sizing issue, but the shoulder straps get my neck right above the base on both sides something awful. I only wear a rash guard, but the neck part ends right below it. Doesn't any know of a brand of rash guard that has a higher neck or have any other suggestions. I'm not looking for a turtle neck just a brand that goes a litter higher. All the ones I've seen seem to have the same size neck. Thanks.

Greg

I guess neck chaffing isn't that common here from the BCD (or at least with the Brigade), but I did find a turtle neck rash guard made by O'Neil that I just ordered. Hopefully that will do it, otherwise I will order the Apollo Bio-Seal that's used for dry suits.

Sorry that you're not getting more replies.

I suspect that it is because the Brigade/Ranger are pretty beefy for just rashguard diving. I've only used mine with full wetsuits, for instance.

I had one and got rid off it.

I had the same problem with a ranger that I rented. Today I got my new Brigade and I noticed that I will have the same problem with it.

In addition to the rubbing, the weight on the base of my neck gives me a headache.

No experience with the Brigade but have had the same problem with several Seaquest BC's. They all had chest straps that I would chince down in an attempt to "get connected" to the BC. This would pull the shoulder straps up onto my neck and wear a hole in me after several days of diving. Solution = BP/W, got that connected feeling, no chest straps, no wear marks on my neck. Good Luck !
