Anyone have any experience with the Zeagle BP/W? Or perhaps why they aren't more popular? I've always been impressed with other Zeagle gear, but I never hear anyone discussing the BP/W. I've only seen one once, and that was at my LDS. Any thoughts?

Frank

I have been using one this year with a standard harness ,34lb wing and weight pockets. The SS backplate ROCKS!

This is one neet unit and I now use it to teach in.

If it were'nt for the logo

Funny thing is I like the logo and I would like to get some Zeagle stuff to wear the logo too.

My gear is all filled with logos

US Divers
Cressisub
Bare
Mares
Wenoka
OMS
Dive Rite
JBL
Oceanic
Scuba Pro
OMER
Sherwood
Atomic

Dang, I look like a dive shop front door advertisement.

I love the product. Swear by the regs. Like I said...go figure. I hope Mr Z comes thru with the donut design. That would have nailed it for sure.

OK, well everyone seems to swearing a blood oath that it's a great product. Why then is it not more popular? Is it because Zeagle's BCs overshadow their BP/W? I'm just guessing here...

Frank,

Our BP/W set up simply isn't highly promoted. We are know much more for BCs than for backplates. We are working on a donut bladder that will allow folks to hook up a bladder much like they can with their Dive Rite or Halcyon BP/W, which I believe will make our system more popular in the near future.

See?

Other manufacturers take notice!!!!!

Divers asking for products and manufacturer delivering product!!!

Keep up the good work Scott!!!

I use a Zeagle BP with an Oxycheq wing. The quality of the BP is right on. A nice bead blasted finish, plenty of mounting options, has never developed any rust, and when I was using a Zeagle wing, it was well constructed. The only real negitive thing I would have to say is you will need to take a file to the outer edges as they are a wee bit sharp. Other than that, were mine stolen tomorrow, I wouldn't hesitate to replace it with same thing.

I think the sharp edges issue has been remedied. You must have one of the early ones!!

Thanks for the kind words!

Interested in the Zeagle titanium backplate. But cant seem to find an online dealer that carries them. The LDS in the Philippines doesn't even carry the SS and aluminum plates.

Thanks for your assistance.
