Hi scuba guys and gals,
I am having severe difficulty sourcing a ss backplate for the zeagle tech wing here in the U.K.There does not seem to be a local source. I would like to now where I could puchase one and how much it would cost? the nearer to U.K the better for shipping reasons!

I would also like to know if anyone out there has any drawings for a custom built backplate fot the zeagle tech wing as I do have the facilities to make one if needed.

Thankyou, warmest regards Andy

How does the Zeagle wing mount as compared to other wings? I would assume that any plate could be drilled to accept anything unique about your wing. If all else fails, can you get a Zeagle plate?

Hi,
I have a Ranger and I have tried the following: I took out the wing and place it on the backplate (from other manufacturer). Place the wing and align it so that the backplate covers the 'U' shape of the wing. Then mark down the position where the wing attachments meets the plate with a marker. Drill 2 holes for each attachemnts. This is where u will mount the wing to the plate with nuts. Total holds drill will be 8 since there is 4 wing attachemnts. If you just want to try it ouf first, tie the wing attachemnts to the backplate with cable ties first and try it out in a pool and see how it feels before drilling it on the backplate.

Another method that I had thought of, but have not done is:
buy some extra webbing and fabricate exactly the way the Zeagle wing fits into the bc, sew it exactly and then just mount the wing to the fabricated webbing and mount the fabricated webbing to the wing. I am not sure how this is going to turn out since I had not tried it out.

I hope you can understand my explaination.

Michael
