Has anyone used one of these BCs? I know it is based on the design of the Zeagle Tech but I am curious to know if the seemingly minor differences between the two would justify the price differential?

I am personally interested in becoming a tech diver and recreational instructor so I am looking for something which has a broad range of capabilities. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have not used the 911, but have used and continue to use the Ranger LTD. I might be out of turn here but the 911 is geared a bit more towards a public safety diver with crotch straps, etc., and is a fairly specialized piece of equipment. I looked at it but decided the Ranger LTD was quite a bit more versatile. I guess it really boils down to personal choice. The Ranger LTD handles doubles (as does the 911), has the ability to have a large number of "add-ons" installed, and I haven't yet wanted for the lack of an available D-ring.

For what you are talking about doing, I think you would find the Ranger LTD more than sufficient, and it isn't as expensive, but go with what you are happy with.

Thanks SlowRain. I appreciate the insight. I think I may go with the Zeagle Tech BC...it's the same platform as the 911 but at a better price point.
