Is this overkill for a newbie? I happened to come across one for a great price and wanting my own BCD, I impulsively bought it. I've yet to dive with it, and the 1st time will probably be in Roatan next month.

Is it overkill? Lift-wise yes.. it comes standard with a 65lb bladder. Will that make it undiveable?..No, but you aren't doing yourself any favors with it either. If you like Zeagle (they make quality stuff), something like this would be a much better choice for a new diver on a trip to Roatan:
Stiletto - Recreational BCs - BCs - Zeagle Dive Systems

yea, i figured that 65lb bladder is overkill in tropical regions, but I plan to dive in NY as well, and maybe get into more tech diving further down the road. Should I sell the 65 and purchase a smaller 35 lb bladder?
