ZAGG Protector for Galileo Sol/Luna: On the screen or on the protective cover?

Hi, Just got the Zagg protector for Galileo. Do you users out there place it directly on the screen and then not use the protective cover at all? , or do you place it on the protective cover and leave the cover in place.

I have the Zagg on my Sol and Vyper, with no other protector and the display is much clearer.
