Yukon - American Flag?

First dive on the Yukon yesterday (just awesome). But very confused by the giant American flag when we descended to the wreck. Isn't it a Canadian ship?

The Canadian flag is looking pretty rough on there as of last week though.

Not that I know of. It’s looking very rough though. It is due for a replacement.
