Yucatan Peninsula time zone?

What equivalent US time zone is the Yucatan Peninsula (specifically Cancun) on? Central Standard (Texas) comes to mind, but I want to be sure.

I double clicked on the clock on my Windows task bar. According to the "Time Zone" tab, all of Central America is in the same time zone as "US Central"

I wilt in the heat; going to Mexico in the summer isn't an option

I'm going to Akumal December 8th-15th and will hopfully be racking up some long bottom times under the jungle!
