Hi,
i have a digital camera olympus sp-350, pt-030 housing
i bought also an external flash sea&sea ys-25
i use it with fiber optic cable at macro mode
but my machine lock the built in flash at super macro mode
for this reason i can't use my strobe at super macro mode.
there is a five pin cable entry on my housing...
is there a converter between my ys-25 and pt-030 except a fiber optic cable
than you for your help

Welcome to the board.
Yep, you have to set the flash in slave mode to get it to work in supermacro, same thing on the 5050,5060 and 8080. Also, you can not use "P" mode (or at lest not on the 5050). The camera will not allow you to go to slave mode unless you are in "A","S" or manual modes but then again you are shooting in manual aren't you ??
While your there, you can turn the level of the flash down to a lot lower setting to save batteries if you like. The 5050 has 10 setting and I find my optically fired strobe fires fine at the lowest setting. Some times I use the internal strobe along with my external strobe for lighting from 2 directions, setting the level down helps keep from over exposing the shot.
