Meng_Tze:I am familiar with this. But the speed at which you are pulled out of 40' to me is the scary thing.... but that is a different discussion. This one is about how deep one went........
I cant remember, I was narc'ed.....:11:
...one dive company in the North Sea conducted it's surface diving ( meaning all diving done from the water's surface & not out of a bell ) decompression using a "transfer bell", where divers would lock into the transfer bell @ 40' & be brought to surface under pressure, to be mated to a d.d.c. ( deck decompresion chamber ) for SurD O2, thus eliminating that cursed "fizz time" - the time between 40' of water & 40' in the chamber, common to conventional SurD. The guys loved it but alas, it proved un-economical & did not last.
Gary D. is right - new diving medical books will be written on the carcasses of us old sat. rats. Cripes, every week I seem to come down with some new ailment; why, just last week, I found out I was pregnant!
Go figure eh?
G'night!
