The Marine Park has announced the availablity of seasonal (annual) passes. The cost is 250 pesos. Details available at your favorite Dive Op. This might be of interest to some of Coz' most frequent visitors! 250 pesos would be about 22 bucks, so you do the math (what's a day band going for? $2?)
Cozumel will host the trade show "Mexico al baja de agua" (Mexico Underwater) at the end of December. Originally scheduled for June, organizers advised of the changed dates. For more info visit the website: http://www.mexicounderwater.net. The show promises to be a full event with seminars, displays and diving!
Friday, June 2 around 9am, two former patrol boats of the Mexican Navy, a P-74 "Laguna Mandinga" (85 ft, 20 tons) and a P-321 "Patzcuaro" (42 ft, 7.6 tons) were sent to a final resting place, 12 meters in depth, in an area known locally as "Las Casitas" (close to the airport road and the airbase).
Finally, the VillaBlanca brand spanking new and huge pier is now finished and has room for many boats!
