This last Dec we started to get some mating action by late December for sure. If there is a new or full moon around christmas then we should get some good action.

Basically the mating season runs late December to mid April, if you are lucky anywhere from 10-40 mantas can show up in big bunches all trying it on with just one or two females, rather exciting to be sure!
Other times they just come in and cruise the cleaning station, much longer interaction that way, sometime just one or two of them, other times 6 or 8.

Not to worry, late December is a great time to visit.
