This is probably going to sound really stupid but here goes.

Just got my first reg through scuba.com, XS Scuba Seaair.

When attatching to a tank, does the portion with the LP ports face down or up? I figure it faces down and that appears to be what it is set up for and makes sense as this way everything is pretty much where it should be.

SPG is on the upper left HP. Primary 2nd stage is on the front right LP, Octo on the Back Right LP. LP Inflator is on the Back Left LP.

Again, this is connecting it with the LP's down and not up. with them up it would basically all be the same except with the SPG on the right.

If it is correct to have them down, is the LP inflator on the right port? Seems like it would be easier to run down the inflator if it were on the front left LP port but not sure, just makes the hose have to bend a lot up by the port as it is now on the back left LP.

Is it detrimental to the hoses to have them bent/coiled too tight or at too much of an angle?

Hopefully all this is right and I'm right about facing the LP ports down. Like I said, first reg, and my rental aqualungs haven't had this setup.

Just getting paranoid and checking everything out for safety/functionality before diving with it this weekend.

I would suggest contacting someone on Jim's staff at scuba.com. They are a very nice group of people and will help you with all of your questions.

You could also post a picture here and we can critique it for you. It you attempt to put it on both ways, it immediately becomes obvious that there is only one correct way to put it on the cylinder..........rotate the swivel until both regulators (primary and backup) are on the right side. The high-pressure device and the inflator hose should then be on the left. If not, you have it upside down. Thanks.
