Very nice professional site. However, I would like more information about yourself and why I (or someone else) would be interested in going to you for instruction or trip planning. Along those lines, a testimontial section would be nice.

Check out my web site site and let me know what you think---looking for your input scuba diving instruction in the san francisco bay area

From a content perspective, I'd like to see more about who you are, credentials for all the staff/instructors, and your relationship with Anderson Scuba, I noticed you have the same address. Also quite frankly your prices are kind of high, at least from an Arizona perspective, our O/W classes are $200 or less. Might be a regional thing, isn't everything higher in California? lol...

From a technical - not content - perspective, you need to fix a couple of things. First of all on the graphic - it's Safety not Safty. Also in it's AdvanceD diver not Advance Diver, in "Scuba Diving" as well as in the text box at the top left. And as long as we're in English 101, it's Beginning not Beginner before Open Water Diver. SB fixed in both the Class Schedule heading and the text box at the top.

I'm having to scroll to read the last two lines of your intro in that box as well with my browser setup - IE6 @1024x768 resolution, so make the graphic a little taller if that's what's holding the vertical spacing or make the letters 1 pt. smaller so they fit without scrolling. Personally, I'd lose the whole second paragraph, the same info is repeated elsewhere on the site. I'd use the space to announce current events or specials instead.

If it was my site, I'd move the contact info there and integrate the contents of that box into the body of the main page.

And change/lose the little gray arrows at the start of the sections. They don't do anything and seem to indicate that there's more info to follow if you click them. Especially since on the main scuba page, there's different arrows for each course heading.

Also your web designer needs to hold the contact info in a table on the main page.
On my browser your zipcode wraps awkwardly to the next line and your phone number wraps under the picture.

He also needs to do the same to the text around the ray picture on the Site Map page, currently it wraps two words wide and looks bad. I'd put it in a box underneath the picture, there's certainly room.

Chuck Tribolet:
The moderators seem to think it was spam. They moved it to Trips and Local
Marketplace, as they have with other spam you've posted.

While I respect Chuck's opinion here and don't wish to tread any on it, I find it interesting that they (moderators, etc) move some threads considering them commericial, but not others, such as ScubaToys for example.

Now I also have nothing against Scubatoys either and I have to say 99.9% of the people here say nothing but good things about them, their service, prices, etc. That many happy customers can't be wrong. So I mean no disrespect to them either.

Just an interesting observation about the content is all.

Self promotion vs answering questions. Self promotion in the form of a new thread by persons involved in that business go to the T&MP subforums or the marketplace section, however folks who own businesses are allowed to post answers to legitimate questions in any forum, provided they are answering that question. We have pulled countless articles of all sorts from all manner of people, other things we move to the appropriate forums. Its a fine line, but i think we walk this one pretty well. In this case it was moved it to a local marketplace. It is not spam. Please read the TOS to get a better idea of how we define spam, what we do with commercial postings and other such topics.
