NorthWoodsDiver:
I am looking for a new or used Scubapro S Tek BCD with the modular wight integration system. or just the weight integration system itsself. I found 1 link on ebay from a past auction and have called every scubapro dealer in minnesota with no luck. Can anyone help. Thanks

here is the item:

Ill PM you and ask why you want weight intergrated anyway but thats not for this thread..

Have you checked on leisurepro.com.. They may have something from OMS or Dive-rite that might work.. My backup/travel/single tank bc is a Scubapro s-tec but it doesnt have weight intergration..

This is what I rigged on my S-tek BC.

Also this thread should be in the classified section.

The OP may want weight pouches to spread weight between his belt and the weight pockets, giving him some ditchable weight and some he can keep. I've considered this for some time since I dive the older version, the X-Tek BCD, and love it.

There were some at the Pacific Wilderness shop in Orange County, CA, last I looked... but that was two years ago. Did you check to see if your local SP dealer could order them for you?

thanks for the tips guys/gals.

I have been on the phone with every dealer in my state with no luck. The S Tek bcd was scubapros attempt at making a comfortable/stylish bp/w type setup in the essence it was highly modular. The integrated weight system was an add on and was not popular and in fact the whole bc wasn't popular.

I dont have any wish to dive with the bcd anymore or with integration on my bp/w harness. Instead I am trying to make something similar to what DUI has. I love the weight and trim harness but I hate the method of weight attachment/ditching. Having to thread line through a bunch of grommets sucks but the scubapro intergated pockets are held in by a very common and very reliable plastic clip.

The scubapro weight harness has different pockets that use velcro, why anyone would want velcro on dive gear is beyond me but anyway. So I dont want to buy that harness. Really I dont get why all the weight harnesses out there have such complicated systems.

Thanks for your tips but this was a last resort. I have looked on ebay (one possibility right now) and contacted all the not so local LDS's. no one seems to have anything even rentals or display part anymore.
