Hey - it looks like my instructor picked the wrong picture for my PADI card and I look like an idiot. Is there anyway I can fix this and not look stupid for the rest of my diving career? The instructor suggests I take more classes to get a new pic. I feel like a fool.

Looks fine to me.

There are so many mean things that could be said right here. :D :D :D

Contact your instructor and demand they replace the card. If you have to contact PADI, you'll probably have to pay $45.

It doesn't look that bad to begin with. It will give you something to joke about when you sign up for a dive.

On the other hand, your instructor is right. No one has seen my OW card in nearly 20 years. I got my AOW a couple months after the OW, and it has been stashed away ever since. I am by no means suggesting that you take additional training for the purpose of getting rid of the picture, but if "the rest of your diving career" is going to last long enough to make this an issue for you, then you will be taking additional classes anyway.

That is a REALLY bad pic. ;)

I love this picture. You look like a fun kind of chap in it and I'm sure people will see the funny side. They may think 'what a joker' or maybe 'he looks like a fun chap, I wamt to dive with him? See the positive from it and as you progress you could maybe add other amusing pictures to your collection and make a thing of it. Enjoy!

I hope to dive with 'the joker some time!

FFS guys. It looks like I've just done my last dive and I'm suffering from a panic attack and have form of special needs. What are people going to think about my safety standards if I can't even take my padi certification seriously. I have contacted the instructor and he just finds it hilarious... He even sent me the photo he was GOING to put on my nitrox card. Fortunately, he DID NOT.

This was going to be my NITROX card... It's NOT funny.
