I need one for a class I'm taking and don't want to spend much. Many of the ones I have seen are $60+, which seems like a total ripoff for a compass. Where can I order one cheap? Thanks.

Does it have to be a wrist compass. I carry a Silva hikers compass in my BC pocket. I have taken it to 150 fsw with no problems. Less than ten bucks at Wal-Mart.

This tells me alot about how much effort you're planning to put into the class also.
Rent one if you're too cheap to buy it.
