Ok gang, the last two times (I missed Catalina but heard that was great too) were great. So now here is the plan.

Time: 08:00 AM
Location to be determined by poll and final decision made on April 23 and posted here.
Sites Descriptions if available:
Leo Carrillo http://www.sandeaters.org/sites/lc.htm
Sequin Point coming soon to www.sandeaters.org
El Madador http://www.sandeaters.org comming soon.
Corral Beach http://www.sandeaters.org/sites/cb.htm
Malibu Riveria http://www.sandeaters.org/sites/malibu_r.htm
Deer Creek http://www.sandeaters.org/sites/dc.htm

I don't know all of these spots, but we need a place with decent parking for everyone, and preferrably, some type of facilities. That would mean: LC, Point Dume or Paradise Cove (where we could have lunch, too).

We probably need an alternate site as well.

Sand eaters will have a website up for each of the sites by the end of the week, or maybe the first of next.

Paridise cove at $20.00 for parking is a bit steep, unless we parked at the bluff park and carpooled in, hmmmm, that is a possibility. Sequit point is South Leo Carrilo and the street parking is usally pretty good, or else you could park in Leo Carrillo. Sequit point is right there where you come up the hill after driving under PCH. Point Dume is good, but I left it off due to the tendancy for current and the long swim to the pennicals, of course the canyon is right there. I would save Pont Dume for later in the summer when the current is mostly from the south. Better to swim against it on the way out than back. Malibu Riveria is also fairly good on parking on the side of the road. But you have good recomendations and I agree and alterant should be chosen, one above and one below pont dume.

How about PV White Point??? Parking right now is only $2 and a short walk to the beach entry. It's beautiful and has lots of 'marco' stuff to see.

Just my .o2 cents.
We decided to keep this one in Malibu as the last two were in Laguna Beach. White Point has closed off the road we use to use to drive right near the dive point. Somthing about inconsiderate people leaving lots of trash behind. So now there is a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the dive site of about 50 yard or more over small fist sized or larger rocks.

I recently dove White Point, and the parking lot was open. Yes, we had to walk across some pebbles and fist sized rocks, but it wasn't that bad of a walk. Are we talking about the same lot? The one that is lower level, correct? Otherwise, it would be a hefty walk down from up above.

Yes we are. When I first dove White Point you could drive out on the dirt road all the way to the dive site and then just have to walk a few feet. Now you have to stop at the paved parking lot and walk the 50 yards or so. As a dive site White point just did not impress me. The thermals were, uh, nice (what can you say about a mound of white fungus and a little warm water seaping out). In anycase, this month is for Malibu (Feb and March were Laguna) and perhaps May we will do somthing in PV, like say Malaga Cove or Long Point, or white point.

I was thinking that in May maybe we can do a boat dive. I know some people really dont like beach diving and would be willing to go on a boat dive. So i wouldnt mind doing that in May.

Yes we drove out to Laguna a few times LOL Its your guys turn to drive out here ;)
