I think someone forgot to tell the San Diego guys to bring the sun!!! I see the forcast is calling for rain. I have reservations at the Radisson. Who is still planning on coming/diving that day?

At this point, it looks like they are expecting light showers in the morning and clearing throughout the day.

A little sprinkle won't hurt. I dove Laguna a month or two ago with Robert Phillips and Sapphire when it was sprinkling and I think we all liked it.

I'll definitely be there as I think will most of the people who have planned on going down there.

I'm staying at the Embassy Suites with some of the other members of the board.

I'd take all the predictions with a grain of salt right now. Too far in advance. Especially weather.com. Not too impressed with their predictions, even near term.

My bigger concern is visibility this weekend, and also even more bacteria/runoff after the coming rain this week. After 5 weeks without a decent dive, I am absolutely determined to get some good dives in this weekend. It's very unlike me to bail on something like this (which goes to show how desperate I am), but I may bail out of the Wrinkles and go to Catalina (or whereever).

Sure, I feel cheap and easy, but I can be had this weekend for a good dive site.

I agree with Jim. Weather.com is not so good. Here is WetSand.com's weather outlook:

I'm dying to dive! I am sure all my gear is all shriveled up since it has been dry for so long. Really, what's a little run off between friends? ;) My main concern is my hubby that is supposed to golf that day...I don't want to hear any whinning.

Also, I noticed Wetsand predicting 10-15 foot surf peaking on Saturday. Grain of salt, but they did hit it pretty well last weekend. Not sure how much San Diego will benefit from "island blockage" for NW swells, but it may be an issue this weekend.

Hmmm... I'm supposed to bring the charcoal for the BBQ. Maybe propane for indoor cooking would be better? :zap1: I am going to do a sun dance ceremony tonight, wish me luck. ;)
