Has anyone else heard of wrecksight.com? Read article mentioning it when reading about upcoming Siggraph (Int. Computer Graphics group) conference entries. Basically it's system developed by St Andrews University and Dundee University working under the name ADUS (Archaeological Diving Unit Surveys). Was used to do a 3d scan of "Royal Oak" and several other shipwrecks in Scapa Flow. Accuracy is to the cm!
Was originally used to determine state of what wreck is in and monitor potential deck collapses as well as find way to pump oil out to prevent potential environmental disaster. Is also being planned for scuba divers with being able to view wreck before they dive it and plan their bottom time or dive plan into greater detail.

Don't know why hasn't been mentioned on scubaboard earlier but seems to be exciting stuff.
