The wreck was open to certain people after the closure in July, but as of 3 weeks ago it is totally closed to everyone. Local company is removing or collecting the bunker oil. Divers messed with it and now No One is permitted. I am not sure of the people who had permission and why them and not others. USG have not given a time frame either of when it will be open again. She sunk with 70% of here bunker oil in her, so find something else to dive. Great wreck too!!!! Maybe the Hamilton and the Scourge are open NOT.

Yada, Yada, Yada, thats old news fella. It has nothing to do with divers on the wreck, its the Obligations of the shipping company who owned the ship to clean up there mess befor it becomes an environmental disaster. There are plenty of other wrecks to give you depth out there. Try under the Ivey Lee bridge the wall drops past 240'

D M I:confused:

YEP you are right DMI, but people were diving the wreck after the July closing and they did have permission, also lots of people were drifting into it as well. My point was some bad apples spoiled it for the rest of us. That's all.
