I am in the (extremely) early phases of planning a dive vacation to Hawaii. My main interests are exotic or dangerous marine life and wreck diving. What sites would you recommend for this type of diving?

You can check out this thread, gives you some ideas of what some of what the islands have to offer.

As for "Dangerous", you can do a shark dive on the North Shore (Best in the months from May - September)

I've never seen them myself but on the Big Island, one fisherman hooked into a 300lb+ jewfish and a freediver tangled with a 7ft Indonesian moray. Personally, I get heart-attacks just from a doe-eyed balloonfish suddenly popping into my face while poking in crevasses for shells. Guess I'm just a wuss.
