Has anyone else experience minor leaks with this case? I had one of these as within 10 dives it leaked - luckily enough a small enough leak that there was no damage to my camera. I returned the case to Canon, who on the phone said it was a manufacturers defect, and replaced the case. With the new case, 2nd dive, leaked again. I feel it is important to state I do know what I am doing with underwater photography. (Check out my website at www.designbysue.com/gallery - 100's of underwater pics) I did have a case flood previously, but that was totally operator error (I had a leak detector in the case and caught the wire in the o-ring - duh) That was with my S-50 case and I have used that many dives before and since with no problems.

I called Canon about this new case leaking and they were very gratious and have given me a UPS label to return it. So I am wondering, am I the only one?

I've made several dives with mine with no issues. Any idea where it's leaking, i.e. is it an o-ring issue or something else?

What has me concerned is that this is the 2nd one that leaked. (and they confirmed the first was Mfg defect). With my first one I used it for about 10 dives when I noticed a small amout of moisture in the case. So minor that I thought it was condensation. Next 2 dives, same - but on the 4th dive I actually saw a small line of water and knew it was more than moisture from condensation. (by line I mean a drop of water than dripped into a line. So Canon replaced the case. I tested it in my pocket once, without camera, then as explained above, 1st dive no problem, second, got the moisture and line of water again. The water showed up in the last 1/2 of the dive every time (and yes it is salt water) and is only a very small amount - luckly as it didn't damage the camera. It must be some kind of defect in an oring somewhere.

you've already "tested" two cases with the same result. canon says the first one was a mfg defect? it's more probably a design defect as well i.e. housing and o-ring not mating properly. in that case this whole run of casing might be doomed unless there's a recall and fix by canon.

I agree. Canon is replacing the 2nd one at no cost and I specifically told them to test the 2nd one before sending it to me, though it doesn't look like that is going to happen (it has taken them weeks to "order" a replacement case and they are to have it to me by the 21st for another trip, I dont' see them testing it!). I told their representative that I am really not happy going on a third trip with the knowledge that the case might leak and that I might loose my camera this time. I also stated that Canon will then need to replace the camera, and her response was "of course". Like it is a normal occurance. This is getting so frustrating.

I keep thinking of getting an Ikelite, but the reports of their functionality for this camera doesn't sound great.
