Ermm, I don't think the 9 pounds is the number you need to be looking at. The new tank will be slightly more buoyant (0.5 pounds) when empty, so you will need to add that weight to your belt/rig so that you can hold your stops at the end of a dive. Let's call that 1 pound, since I doubt you will be fine-tuning your buoyancy in the 0.5 pound increment.

Then on top of that, the full tank is 1 pound more negative. That means that with a full tank, your whole rig will be 1.5 (2) pounds more negative. Can your wing support an additional 2 pounds? Should be pretty easy to test.
 
After reading some more on the forum I discovered that a lot of divers that got the X-8 119hp, rather have purchased the X-8 130 hp for only $20 dollars more...

The difference in air is greater and the trade off in weight is minimal...
