Worth it to have old AL80's VIP'd & Hydro'd?

I brought my 1979 Luxfer US Diver tank in to get hydrod last week. My LDS told me I could get the hydro and VIP but I would have an increasingly hard time getting it filled. Most shops in south Louisiana will not fill them. I will trash the tank since I have a brand new Luxfer tank.

BTW, if the S/N starts with a "P", then it is a Luxfer tank.
