A Sea Change
New
Ocean acidification is the underbelly of climate change.
Imagine a world without fish: if ocean chemistry continues to change because of excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, a bottom-up collapse of the sea food chain could result. The marine ecosystem will change profoundly; many of the fish we know (and eat) could disappear.
Just before World Oceans Day there'll be a live webcast Q&A with the filmmakers of A Sea Change, the first documentary about ocean acidification. 3 pm EDT, June 6.
Anyone who loves the ocean must take action to reduce ocean acidification before it's too late.
And yes, it's no coincidence that my username is the same as the film's: I'm the outreach coordinator.
