Womens Wet suit

HI! I am newly certified and have decided that they first thing that I want to buy is a good wetsuit. I am looking for a wetsuit specificaly designed for Women, and have run across the Body Glove no-zip 6.5mm and the Oceanus XXV 5mm. I am not real close to a LDS, but am going to venture out this weekend...can any of you tell me if these run true to size? Also, any oppinions would be helpful. I live in the southeast, and will be doing most of my diving in warmer enviornments...no ice diving for me!!

Hi Shanna,

Unless you are shaped just like the models the wetsuits were made from, it can be very challenging to find just the right suit. A lot of the folks around here have taken the plunge and bought custom suits from Liquid Fit. I have spoken with Caroline on several occasions and she is a great lady. She is always willing to help. Even is you decide to buy off the rack, remember, FIT is everything in a wetsuit. Make sure it is tight, but not too tight, but not too loose either. There should be no big gaps at the neck, wrists or ankles and it shouldn't be baggy. I was always told that a good rule of thumb is, if you don't work up a sweat putting the suit on, it's too big.

Also, try on every suit you can get your hands on. Every manufacturer is different, so every suit is going to be different, even if they are the same size.
