Wow, that is great customer service! I might do that then, but do you think they would exchange the zena for a different bc if that one didnt fit right? I really like the zena, and I want to try it out, but if it doesnt work for me, it doesnt work. I like to have back up plans. I will definately check that out on scubatoys though, thanks!

Give Larry a call at ScubaToys, I know he'll exchange or refund your money if you can't find a BC that will fit you....as long as you don't get it wet. ;)

When I got my reg/computer package from Larry, he had some pretty good packages already put together, but none of them were exactly what I wanted, so he custom built a package for me and it was right around the same price. So don't feel that his packages are cut in stone...you can always build your own.

When you call Larry, tell him what your concerns are for fit (don't sugar coat) and listen to his recommendations for which BC to try. He has soooo much experience fitting folks to BCs that he should have excellent insight into what you're going to want to try first. I admit that the first time I called I was a little nervous since I was so unsure of what I was doing and Larry immediately put me at ease and I couldn't help but wonder why I didn't call earlier.

Oh yeah, and tell him you're a ScubaBoard member, you get a 10% additional discount!! :D

I'm a fan of the Scubapro Ladyhawk. It was a replacement for my Seaquest Diva, which I liked, but didn't have as much lift as I wanted. The Ladyhawk is a back inflate, which took a little getting used to at first. Now I love the back inflate, and it has plenty of lift. Also, the integrated weight pouches have buckles instead of velcro, so they're very secure. You need to try them on, to make sure you purchase the BC that's right for you. Good luck with your search!

I went the bp/w route. I'm 5'9" and full figured - with a high waist and big hips. I was having a lot of trouble in the vests with the waist strap, cummberbund, and weight belt all needing to occupy the same 3 inches between my hips and ribcage. I have found the bp/w straps to be much less constricting and I can adjust to fit exactly where I want.
