Tragedy as woman dies at popular Sydney beach

Paramedics were called to the beach about 10am.

A woman has died in a diving accident at a beach in Sydney’s northern beaches area.

The 63-year-old woman was found unresponsive in the water at Shelly Beach in Manly about 10am on Friday.

Paramedics attempted to revive her, but she died at the beach.

The area is popular with snorkelers and divers.
