I do carry ONE logbook with me though, the most recent one.. Not so much for people who want to check it, but because I use it more or less as a notebook. What kinda critters can I expect to photograph where, how does that change with the season? You now, the IMPORTANT stuff, the stuff the computer cant log :p

Thanks for all the input. I will log the dive, put my buddy's name and if I get a signature fine, if not no big worry then.

Hey, if I don't need a signature, then I can go back an log the dives that I didn't log because of no log book at site... if I can remember everything..

Ha Ha, the guy with the most answers/posts to my question has a status of "I just don't log dives"

Well, I do log, but the numbers are wrong and I dont pay much attention to it anyways. Its just better to say I dont log than that I am not certified :p

Since you can fake a witness entry (signature e.g.) as easily as a whole dive log entry ... how could a witness really be of importance for anyone? In german we say it´s called LOGbook for a reason: (L)ügen (O)hne (G)renzen means something like "lies without limitations". Even dive centers that check the log book never pay attention to witness entries but the mere number of dives and your certification level.
