I bought one of these:

Googled around a bit and decided that I'd best build one of these:

Tomorrow I leave to dive the GBR and Outer Reefs for a week.

Trip report forthcoming.

Can you share details of what you built? Perhaps some links to the pages where you got the design ideas?

Have a fun safe trip too!

I'm in Australia, so links to the my local LowesDepot (Bunnings Warehouse) would be of little to no use to you being in the states. It is however relatively clear that I used google, PVC conduit, and an inspection T with the gorpro tripod mount on the access door of the T. The inspection plate comes off the T and the tripod mount unscrews just as you would in any other scenario in using the tripod mounts for the gorpro. 6mm hole for tripod bolt through the plate.

I build this as I was pressed for time and didn't have time to order something from the states such as a camera tray (google) that seem to be quite popular with gopro cameras.

Did you get the red filter for it? You will get better results below 20'
