OK, I'm sitting on my deck right now (which I built along with installing custom Anderson double french doors thank you very much) drinking Patron Reposado (hence all the posts) posting to the board on my Powerbook... Wireless access rocks! Who cares if it's 50F :)

hahah... I know... it's pathetic... I was -supposed- to go diving tonight however the weather (viz) isn't cooperating. At least I have Cape Ann on Sat. to look forward to.

Have fun, one day I'm going to design my own house and everything is going to be controlled electronicly, even parking my car in the garage.

For those of you with PDAs using wireless/remote access you will be happy to know that ScubaBoard now autodetects most PDA clients and forwards them to a special "lite" skin designed to work espcially with pocket pc browsers. About half my posts come from my pda from a wifi hotspot or another room in the house.

Cool. I had an iPaq but after installing Linux on it and getting bored with it I sold it. Nice to see ScubaBoard 'with the times' though ;)

You think you're geeky..

On Sunday, I was at the local sports bar watching the Saints game. I dragged a table over near a power outlet, fired up my laptop, and hooked up to the net through my phone. Pint of Killian's Irish Red in one hand, the other on the keyboard checking SB and reading the live game stats from ESPN.

Heh, been doing that for a while. All of my clients have wireless, so I hit the net when i'm out visiting them and when I'm at the pub. My buddy has whole neighborhoods mapped out in the county where we hit hot spots as we drive around. Its kind of sick when you think about it, people don't even realize their networks are open ;)

Now you just have to figure out how to waterproof the laptop!
Maybe be we should start a competition - the first SB member who can post to SB from underwater!
