Wing lift minimums for BP/W?

I have been using the Halcyon 29 pound lift wing for the last few years, but just found my old Halcyon 17 pound lift wing....I am switching to the 17, as I rarely use more than a tiny amount of air addition at the bottom to get neutral...I use a 2 or 3 mm wetsuit( the Beuchat Camo suit--the Jewfish actually bump into me with this on ).
I have never liked big wings...it is just more drag. I used to like my steel 72 with harness and no bc ( with lycra suit) way more than even the halcyon
