Wilmington, NC diver wanting to dive

Hey everyone
i live in wilmington NC and looking for dive buddies...none of my friends dive so I am hurting to get out there. Let me know if you are in the area and want to shore dive or if you have a boat i can give up some cash for gas...I just WANT to dive!
I am AOW certified and very comfortable with my skills. I don't do too much spearing or tech stuff yet but willing to check it out.

I will be in the Wilmington area October 15-22 for a family trip and would like to do any type of diving. Was hoping that my girlfriend and I could pick up a charter while we are there, but she was just certified this weekend and I don't feel that she is ready yet. Shoot me a pm if you would like to get together during that week.

thanks everyone! yeah i know about a bunch of charters...it is just expensive for me. i go to school and funds are limited. I might be able to swing something in oct...thx paul.

We have a local dive club in Wilmington through Aquatic Safaris. It is a really good place to meet others in the community and find a buddy. We are having an Oyster roast/shrimp boil mid October either the 15th or 22nd. There should be plenty of people to meet there. Aquatics web site has info about the club www.aquaticsafaris.com. Let me know if you have any more questions about the local diving.
