Professional educator here (sounds more professional than teacher). Actually (to be technically correct) I am the Lead Instructor of Automotive Technology (put that on one line on your business card) LOL.

Create racing graphics on the side to support my other habit and always dreamed of doing the Golfing thing for money (if I could just shave those last 12 strokes off my handicap it would be all good).

Hoping to enter the equipment repair side of this addiction so i can support the funner side of it all and retire from teaching (its a plan, never said it was a good one, just a plan).

By day, I manage a software engineering group (develping Labor Management software).

To assist in my SCUBA addiction, I also am an on-ice offical (refferee) for USA Hockey.

I am also currently training to become a regulator technician (tonight will be my 4th eve. at it). Very interesting stuff. I think this would be fun fulltime (but not very good pay).

We bought a towing and recovery business a year ago. I had worked in the business for about 15 odd years. I think the coolest thing to do is bring stuff up off the bottom,(cars and boats and STUFF). My lead towman had mentioned he always wanted to try scuba, can you say "training writeoff"? We both got certified, and our equipment(on the company)!! So when the sun is high, and the phone hasn't rang in a while, it's time for "training" in the Crosby mine pits. We will both take aow this fall and ice diving this winter (on the company) Do you think this should be listed as a benefit??

This is what Im talking about! Cool stuff, keep it coming!

1. Real Job : Driving a Boeing.
2. Dream Job : (see #1)

Wouldn't trade it for anything (except maybe being independently wealthy) ... plus I get to live in one of the premier recreational diving areas of the world. :) :)

I am a programmer for a UK software house. I get to live in NY, only have to go to a client's office twice a week (to sit ina cubicle and code and catch up on gossip) and then work from my paid for apartment the remainder three days of the week. My boss is in the UK so once midday comes along... ;)

I sit in a cube and write software. To support my SCUBA habit I... write more software :(

My dream job would be to do something outside preferably involving the ocean and make the same as I do sitting inside... I live in the "Ocean State" so it shouldn't be that hard... but for some reason it is.

I do the impossible, I translate what an engineer was thinking into what contractors need to know to build it.

It is always an adventure, and a challenge.

I do land surveying on the side to cover the costs of diving for 3 (me and 2 kids). The missus won't let me go anywhere without taking them.

TT ;)

Who else is out there folks? What do y'all do?

Land use/environmental lawyer. Hopefully I'll get to do some diving related pro bono work in the not too distant future though.
