Will a GoPro3 filter fit on a GoPro2?

The housing lenses on the GoPro 2 and 3 are different. Area wise they may be similar. I couldn't say for sure. Just get a Hero 2 red filter like this Polar Pro one Amazon.com: Polar Pro Filters C1009 45mm Camera Lens Color Correction and Compensation Filters: Electronics Or this Backscatter one Amazon.com: Backscatter Flip-up Magic Filter Gopro Dive Housing HERO 2: Electronics

Or the SRP Dome SRP Dome for GoPro Dive Housing

If you want some upgrade compatibility to the Hero 3 then get this BlurFix Original Kit plus this URPRO CY FIlter . It's a pricey combo but that filter is a standard 55mm and works on SRPs Hero3 adapter and its the superior product out of the bunch.
 
The lens area for the 2 is much larger than the lens area for the 3.....the filters are not interchangeable
