Is there anyplace that we can go in Mexico that offers interaction with wildlife? I was hoping for something like a stingray interaction kinda thing? Any ideas? Thanks.

Of course there are !!

Great whites in isla Guadalupe

Giant mantas , 6 species of shark, Humpbacks and much more in the Revillagigedos

Elephant seals, Guadalupe fur seals, California sea lions, Harbor seals in the San Benitos

Whale sharks in Holbox and La Paz

Mantas, Tuna and more pellagics just out side the Bay of Banderas in Puerto Vallarta

and much more..

Check out some videos at www.tiburonblanco.com.mx or www.revillagigedo.com.mx

Happy diving !!

Are you looking for an open and wild encounter or one that the wildlife is constraned in a pen?

Don't forget Sea Lions at Los Islotes in La Paz.

well I was hoping for something like sting rays or something a bit more cuddly if possible. I'm just looking for something to get the girlfriend more into the game. She's a big animal lover and anything she could get close to (respectably and responsibly of course) I'm sure she'd be thrilled. I took her to a resort in Cancun where they had dolphins and she wasn't happy about the facilities they were kept in, so it'd have to be with full respect and safety in mind... any ideas?

thanks.

Most of the sealife that you can touch and cuddle has been domesticated in pens. It's always sad to see and I don't recommend patronizing them.

If your goal is to spark some interest in diving within your girlfriend, I would suggest doing some research in quality places to snorkel. Akumal has a good reputation for it. You might also consider a discover scuba class. That has hooked countless new divers.

Good luck.
