Unfortunately I'm not (yet) a TOUGH 8000 user so I am not able to provide a review (I am mainly interested in INON S-2000 and caught eyes on Olympus TOUGH 8000 model during research).
BTW a dealer in Japan gave me some update - 28AD mount base for PT-045 housing is to be released in end-April. But, because INON closes its inventory from 4/28 to 5/07, and the Japanese holidays (Golden week) coming up, the item is going to be available probably after that. JPY5,600 plus shipping was the quote he gave me for the mount base.
