Does anyone know if the INON 28AD mount base for the Olypmus PT-043 housing will fit the new PT0-045 housing so that I could mount an INON UWL-100 28AD wide angle lens for the Olympus Tough 8000 camera ?

I'm assuming that if I can make the 100 28AD work it would be a better solution than the INON UWL 100 ?

I'm not sure the answer to your question but if you get it working, I have a 100 28AD for sale on eBay right now at a very reasonable price.

My guess is yes but I also see no reason that either the 100WAL or the 105/165AD lenses would not work if you"zoom" the camera into their operating range of about 32 to 35mm.

Since your camera has an internal mechanism the position of the forward element does not change therefore a light zoom up to accommodate the lenses should not be an issue, my guess based on my "experimental" conclusions.

Isn't the 28AD designed for 28mm lenses? (...hence the name...) Seams like that would be the logical choice!

I sell the Fantasea FWAL-02 Wide Angle lens that will fit this housing perfectly. Although 46mm, there's an adapter ring in the box. There might be slight vignetting.

It is almost identical to the Inon 105, very good quality, reasonable cost.

So Jack, do you know specifically if the INON 28AD mount base for the Olypmus PT-043 housing will fit the new PT0-045 housing?

If trying to ascertain if the INON 100 28mm WA lens can be hooked up to the "native" 28mm lens of the Olympus 8000?

I know I can get adaptors for other WA lenses to "work" but they aren't necessarily designed for the 28mm lens of the 8000

INON had a 28AD mount base display for PT-045 housing in the show held in Tokyo just last month, in its Japanese link. It's planning to be released near future and that's all it says (no ETA, no specific given anywhere but it's in production). Hopefully soon ;)

Hi... I'm considering getting the Tough 8000 with the Oly housing. However, I've read some early reviews of the camera and said that the image quality isn't that good. Thus, I would like to know from real user like you. What do you reckon of the image quality when taking u/w photos during your dives? Do you have any images for references?
